Terms of Use & Disclaimer
Amicaplan is a private, locally-run evidence organisation tool designed to help litigants in person (LiPs), McKenzie Friends, and family law professionals organise digital communication evidence for use in UK family court proceedings. It is a productivity and evidence management tool — not a legal service.
Amicaplan helps you:
- Import, organise, and review digital communications
- Identify patterns of concern through rule-based flagging
- Generate structured draft documents (evidence timelines, welfare checklists, position statement drafts)
- Structure parenting plan agreements aligned to CAFCASS guidance
- Draft consent order frameworks for court submission
All flagging and analysis is based on configurable pattern-matching rules. It is not powered by a court-certified AI system and its outputs should always be reviewed by a legal professional before being filed with a court.
Nothing on this platform or in any document generated by it constitutes legal advice. The information and documents provided are for general informational and organisational purposes only.
Many users of Amicaplan are Litigants in Person (LiPs) who are representing themselves in family court proceedings. You may wish to seek advice from a qualified solicitor or authorised legal professional — but you are not required to, and this tool is designed to support those who are managing their own case. If professional advice is available to you, it may be worth taking before:
- Filing any document with a court
- Relying on any analysis generated by this tool in legal proceedings
- Making significant decisions about your case based on the tool's output
If you are considering legal representation, you may be eligible for legal aid — visit gov.uk/check-legal-aid. A McKenzie Friend may be able to assist you in court without charging solicitor rates.
Amicaplan runs entirely on your own device. No message content, personal data, or case information is sent to any external server, cloud service, or third party. All data is stored locally in a SQLite database on your computer.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your device and database file secure
- Backing up your data regularly
- Ensuring you have the legal right to store and use any communications you import
If you uninstall or delete the application, all local data is permanently deleted. There is no cloud backup unless you arrange one yourself.
You agree to use Amicaplan only for lawful purposes and in connection with genuine family court proceedings or legitimate evidence organisation. You must not use Amicaplan to:
- Fabricate, alter, or misrepresent communications or evidence
- Harass, intimidate, or gather information about another person unlawfully
- Import communications you do not have the legal right to store or process
- Produce documents intended to mislead a court
Presenting false or misleading evidence to a court is a serious criminal offence (contempt of court) and may result in prosecution.
If you have immediate concerns about the safety of a child or vulnerable adult, do not rely on this tool — contact the emergency services (999) or your local authority's children's services immediately.
If you have non-urgent safeguarding concerns, you can report them to:
- NSPCC Helpline: 0808 800 5000
- Childline: 0800 1111
- Local authority children's social care — find your local team at gov.uk
Any pattern that suggests a child is at risk of significant harm should be reported to the relevant authorities regardless of the status of any court proceedings.
The flagging, analysis, and document generation features of Amicaplan are provided as an aid only. They are based on configurable pattern-matching rules and are not infallible. In particular:
- Flags may produce false positives — patterns that look concerning but are innocent in context
- Flags may produce false negatives — genuine patterns of concern that the tool does not detect
- Generated documents are drafts only and require human review and verification before filing
- Legal requirements and court forms change — always verify current requirements at gov.uk
The developers of Amicaplan accept no liability for decisions made, or outcomes arising, from reliance on its outputs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amicaplan and its developers exclude all liability for any loss or damage of any kind (including without limitation financial loss, loss of data, or adverse court outcomes) arising from your use of this tool or reliance on any of its outputs.
This tool is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
Not legal advice — outputs are drafts; review with a solicitor before filing.
Local only — no data leaves your device.
Accuracy — flags may produce false positives or negatives; always review.
Safeguarding — if a child is at risk, call 999 or children's services.
